What this tour is about: This is a safari in Jhalana Leopard Reserve, about 30 minutes drive from the Pink City. Once a hunting ground for royals, the park is home to resident leopards and other animals including hyenas, spotted deer, blue bulls, wild boars, langurs and many others. It is excellent for birding as well, with resident as well as migratory birds.
The Forest Department of Rajasthan offers safaris in the reserve, in two shifts (morning and evening). To avoid overcrowding, only a limited number of vehicles are allowed in each shift. Please reserve with us ahead of time. There is also an interpretation centre at Jhalana which you can visit.
We will pick you up from the hotel, transfer to the reserve, and drop you back after the safari.
Duration: 5hrs including transfers (safari is around 3hrs).
Cost: The cost depends on the number of adults and children. Please write to us with your date, group size and ages. Our quote will include transfers to the reserve, jeep safari, trained guide, bottled water and all taxes.
Excludes: Meals and tips.
What to wear: It is advisable to dress in muted colours. In winter, it can get quite chilly so we recommend dressing in layers. Shared binoculars are available; but it is preferable to bring your own.
